RIM released the newest version of BlackBerry Messenger yesterday, version 5.0, and it's awesome. If you use a BlackBerry and your operating system is 4.5 or higher*, point your BlackBerry browser to
blackberry.com/messenger for the download and follow the directions.
(*If you don't know what operating system you're running, go to "options ->about" and you'll see it. And if you're running anything lower than 4.5 you should update it.)
